As an organisation, G4S Technology have always taken our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) seriously. This year, our priority has been to establish an effective community programme focusing on supporting young people through their educational, sporting and personal development. Whilst no young people are to be excluded, the aim of the policy is to focus on individuals who are disadvantaged, in terms of disability, educational achievement, financial status or family circumstance.
In support of the programme we have been building much closer links with UK schools to provide work experience opportunities and industrial placements at our world headquarters in the UK. A range of Achievement Awards will also be established and we are entering into sponsorship arrangements, providing staff to support school projects.
Working closely in conjunction with the local training groups, the first apprentices joined the Company in September 2008 marking the start of the G4S Technology Modern Apprenticeship Scheme.
